Cashmere Care
Special things deserve special care, and so does cashmere. With the right attention, your new favorite garment can become a long-lasting companion.
What is the correct way to wash a cashmere knit garment?
- Immerse the garment, turned inside out, in a basin of cold water with a spoonful of our gentle shampoo. Gently massage it for a few minutes. In case of stains, gently dab the area with a white cloth soaked in diluted detergent, never rubbing.
- Rinse it several times under running water, avoiding wringing or twisting the fabric. Roll it in a towel or blot to remove excess water.
- To complete drying, lay it flat away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid hanging it to prevent deformation.
For pure cashmere garments, we recommend washing:
- In the washing machine, choose a specific program for wool or delicates with a 400 rpm spin and not exceeding 20°. Be careful not to exceed the indicated temperature or spin speed, as the garment may shrink.
- By hand.
N.B. Absolutely remember not to use fabric softener or bleach and not to tumble dry the garment.

TREATING PILLING ON YOUR CASHMERE GARMENTS
- A garment made of pure high-quality cashmere contains a significant amount of fine fibers. For this reason, it is normal that, after a period of use, excess fibers may form small unsightly balls, known as pilling.
- It is important to clarify that the formation of pilling does not indicate poor quality of the garment. On the contrary, it is a natural characteristic of any fine fiber and does not compromise the beauty or durability of the fabric.
- To remove it, you can use a special brush, gently moving from bottom to top, or remove it by hand. Once this operation is complete, it is recommended to proceed with washing.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE A CASHMERE GARMENT?
To store a cashmere garment and keep it in perfect condition, follow these simple tips:
- Clean the garment before storing it: Make sure it is clean and completely dry. Any traces of dirt or moisture can attract insects or damage the fibers.
- Fold the garment carefully: Avoid hanging it, as the weight of the fabric could deform the knit. Fold it neatly to preserve its shape.
- Use breathable containers: Store the garment in cotton bags or breathable containers. Avoid plastic bags, which can retain moisture and cause mold.
- Protect from moths: Place sachets of lavender, cedar, or other natural repellents in the box or wardrobe to keep moths away.
Avoid heat sources and direct light: Keep the garment in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources that could alter its color or structure.
By following these guidelines, your cashmere garments will remain soft, well cared for, and ready to wear in every season.
